The first step is to create a detailed timeline and checklist. Begin by determining your moving date, which will serve as the anchor for your schedule. About two months before the move, start sorting through your belongings, deciding what to keep, sell, donate, or discard. This is an ideal time to reserve your date with us. And don’t stress, we can always change your move date as we get closer.
Please do plan to pay. 🤓 We are a small, independent company, and we require payment at time of services. We offer no exceptions on this.
Notify important parties, such as your employer, schools, and utility providers, about your move and update your address with them. As the moving day approaches, pack non-essential items and label the boxes clearly by room and contents.

In the final weeks, confirm details with us, and ensure that all important documents, such as contracts, lease agreements, and personal records, are easily accessible. Pack a separate essentials box containing items you’ll need immediately upon arrival, like toiletries, a change of clothes, important documents, and basic kitchen items. A few days before the move, defrost the refrigerator, confirm utility setups at your new home, and double-check that everything is packed. On moving day, have a plan for pets and children, and ensure that valuables and essentials are kept with you. Once you arrive at your new home, prioritize unpacking essentials and setting up key areas like the bedroom and bathroom to quickly establish a sense of normalcy and comfort. Remember, moving is a marathon, not a sprint, so take your time to settle in and adjust to your new surroundings.
